Modern Australian Barn With A Gorgeous Cathedral Ceiling

This beautiful weekend getaway house was designed by the talented team at Paul Uhlmann Architects and looks absolutely amazing. The element that we like the most would have to be the roof. It has such an interesting design, an unusual shape and at the same time, it manages to look really simple. As the roof its highest point it curves and completely changes the entire look of the house. On the inside, the cathedral ceiling gives the spaces a refined and grand and also highlights the exposed timber beams which create a reinforced and at the same time elegant appearance.

The modern rural retreat was designed for a couple with children who wanted a place where they can relax, enjoy the outdoors and invite their friends to spend time together. The interior design was adapted to facilitate all that. The ground floor can be completely opened, exposing the internal spaces to the outdoors. This where all the day areas are situated. Upstairs is where the bedrooms are placed. They have skylights, large windows and make good use of the limited floor plan through bunk beds.
