Controversial Space Built With A Very Small Budget

What do you do when you don’t have enough money to build yourself a regular house? Well, you either give up the idea or you come up with another plan that will allow you to fulfill your dream. There are lots of house built on a small budget but none of them can even be compared to this one. Located in Tứ Liên, Tây Hồ, Hanoi, Vietnam, this house was a project by Adrei-studio Architecture.

With a budget of only $15,000.00 the architects managed not only to build this client a house in which he could live but to actually model it after his personality and lifestyle. The client is a guitarist born in Hanoi and he requested a house that would reflect his artistic character and that would also preserve the main characteristics of Hanoian housing. Building such a house was no easy task but the challenge only made things more interesting.

Even though some things were missing from the initial project, the team didn’t give up the idea. As you can see, the house they built looks unusual but it also looks unique. Details used in traditional housing were integrated into the project and they include elements such as the entrance, the door, the stairs and a few other details. All these elements were refined and designed to suit the client’s needs and preferences. The house ended up being both open and closed and with a unique interior.
