This is an apartment located in Madrid, Spain. It was renovated in 2016 by Manuel Ocana. His office does all sorts of interesting projects from landscape design to heritage restorations. The most notable characteristic of this apartment would of course have to be the lack of conventional walls and doors between its rooms and functions. So how are the space delineated you wonder? Through the use of furniture and glass partitions.

These are the only two methods used throughout the apartment. As a result, the bedroom is separated from the living and dining spaces by a steel frame with glass panels. The same thing can be said about the powder room.

Speaking of which, there’s something else interesting about the bathroom. It’s actually a very small space with nothing but a short counter and some storage. Nevertheless, it doesn’t look that small at first and that’s because it has a mirrored wall.

The kitchen is an open space that freely communicates with the dining area and living room. It features an island which acts as a separator between the spaces. Once again, a mirror is used to add depth to the décor and to create the impression of more space.
